here’s the title of the blog

Okay, here is the body text of the blog bla h blah blah blah sfjkpe fjkfds fkjeo fkfdm. fjkfhfnenf wiejdm fjf eje s toerpwnfk fjkfeokd fjfioeosl skeo sk sliek ko s jklrioa;f jfkldsaf;asd mfkla dsjmf ka dmsfma sdklf adsko ;fadjs hjg.  and then the dog went to the park. the park was misty and the dog couldn’t smell if his friends were there. it was only after the bushes rustled that the dog could sense a presence.

More writing happens after the picture, which helps to break up the text. But does it look good as a full column picture, and full column blog text? it’s nice on other sites, but does it work when there is also a busy widget sidebar? we will only know by trying things out and giving them a good test. I hope they will be able to help me fix the backgrounds of the blog page and that it won’t be too complicated to make it work how i want it to.

If it stays complicated, who knows what will happen? I wonder if there is any way to switch themes without losing everything i’ve designed on this theme. It would be great to have a bit easier controls over images and placement of pieces on a page.

Is heading three too big for subheaders throughout the post?

This is a question we will only be able to figure out by trying and seeing. I wonder how to make the header text or caption text or block quotes always be a specific colour when building a block from scratch. I like that the pre-made blocks are change colour depending on the background colour you choose. I guess it doesn’t really matter because we have decided the blogs are always going to be grey anyway. Though, maybe it would be nice if the text automatically went the right colour when you chose the header type.

I also wonder about text size – how can i figure out what size this paragraph style is styled as. I read that it should be at least 16 px to be easy to read online. I want to do everything i can to make my site easier to read as i know i really struggle with focus and being able to really take in what i’m reading online, and parents, our target audience, are likely to also have shifting attention and brain power to read.

Here I’ll add a block quote, which seems to be in paragraph, only bigger. I think it would be better if it was in a header, so i will change that now. Also, maybe having it off to one side would look better?

It definitely doesn’t seem to look better in header whatever that is. And that is way too much text for a block quote. I wonder what the block quotes are styled like in some of the prefab blocks that i like? It certainly seems like a blog post will be a bit complicated to make like i want it. But I will keep trying things out to see.

And what do we think about headings in heading number four instead?

I definitely think it looks nicer, but we’ll see what happens once i go out of edit mode and into the actual page. I find it always looks a little different, even though it’s supposed to be what you see is what you get. WYSWYG. Is that actually the acronym and saying? Bam, i love random back of brain knowledge.

Another thing I wonder about is how complicated it will be to change the whole website’s style for the paragraph text. I think i want it to be a serif font instead of a sans serif. I have heard that serifs are actually much easier for people to read, in particicular, people with dyslexia or other processing struggles. I think I better use the google font comparer to make sure the new font goes well with the other fonts on this theme that i do really like.

Oh my god. That picture is HUGE. I guess this is what they mean about making sure not to get too big of pictures because it’ll slow down your site loading time. But maybe it’s also just because it is a portrait image trying to fit into my one column? Is this how it should be when you are making a one column blog, or are there potentially ways to add in occasional half column things like the block quotes and some images. Would it look good? Or would it be confusing on the eyes?

Also, how much text is too much text for one paragraph? I know walls of text are difficult to read, but it’s kinda random to break text up into so many bits when you’ve been taught to think of paragraphs in a certain way your whole life.

Maybe we just have to image that one paragraph is a whole section and add sub headers to move to the next idea? I think this could make sense, but i’d have to try it to really see if it is possible to organize information that way and get it into my brain. At this point, i’m really just rambling to try to fill in this paragraph.

Let me try a half photo and see what happens. Left or right, that is the question! Here are a few words to fit in here before i share the amazing picture that will be so great for the blog post. Ready? Add column, then post picture. Or two?

So, I think that is going to look weird, but it will be hard to tell until the blog background is also grey. I wonder why adding a new section always has 75px of spacing on the top and bottom. is that standard? Is it the right  way it should be? Or does it leave very random big gaps like i think it does. I wonder what spacing between things is supposed to be.

Whatever it is, I also wonder if i should be tabbing in to start paragraphs or if that is done differently on blogs. I will have to go and check some out, which I need to do for being able to show the support people examples of what i am trying to do. I wonder if they’ll read this long nonsense post!

Always end with a question, but what style should the question be in?
