You’ve landed on this site, this build-up of dirt, this crack in the concrete, this fringe of a carefully manicured lawn. Maybe you got caught in the wind, carried by a passing friend, or blown by the explosive breath of a joyful toddler. However you got here, dig in and take root, for beneath the surface you will find nourishment and encouragement to grow alongside other toothed lions, to blossom, and to spread the seeds anew. Welcome to Dandelion Learning.

This is a place for exploring concepts of social justice with ourselves, our kids, and our communities. A place for unfolding and making mistakes, for growth and connection, and for learning together. Our goal is to support parents and caregivers in their endeavours to raise respectful, compassionate, and empowered kids. We create tangible and accessible learning resources that help caregivers gain the tools to confidently explore and address social justice issues with their kids.

learning bundles

Our Learning Bundles are built with the objective of helping parents feel supported and well-equipped to approach a range of difficult topics with their kids.

Each Learning Bundle will explore a specific issue or topic with two interconnecting streams: An introspective or investigative stream for caregivers and an informational/integrative stream for shared learning between caregivers and kids.

In each Learning Bundle, you will find:

  • Book and video suggestions with conversation prompts
  • Activities, games, and projects
  • Challenges and action ideas for the whole family
  • Tips about using age-appropriate language and examples
  • Reflective/investigative questions for caregivers
